Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 onion chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 15.5 oz can chili beans
  • 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 8.5 oz pkg cornbread mix
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup milk

Instructions

  • Cook your ground beef with your onion and drain.
  • Mix together your ground beef, salt and pepper to taste, chili powder, chili beans and tomato sauce in a large bowl.
  • Pour your mixture into a 4-quart casserole crock.
  • Mix together your cornbread mix, egg and milk.
  • Pour evenly over your beef mixture.
  • Place a couple of paper towels under your lid, cover and cook on high for two hours.
